Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879. Six weeks later the family moved to Munich, where he later on began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. Later, they moved to Italy and Albert continued his education at Aarau, Switzerland and in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics. Arvid Reuterdahl was born in Sweden February 15, 1876, and came to the United States in 1882. He began teaching mathematics in 1897. From 1918 to 1922, he was dean of engineering at St. Thomas College, St. Paul. In 1923, Reuterdahl was made a doctor of science, by the Academy of Nations for his work in physics and mathematics.
